About the role
Royal Veterinary Center is hiring a Veterinarian to join our clinical team in Doha. Key responsibilities: - Diagnose illnesses and health problems in a wide variety of animals - Test for and vaccinate against diseases, and prescribe appropriate treatments - Perform surgery and operate diagnostic equipment such as ultrasound and radiography machines - Record actions by documenting and updating forms, reports, and medical records - Advise pet owners on general care, medical conditions, treatments, and dietary recommendations - Work on-call for emergency cases and respond quickly under pressure - Daily health checks of animals staying at the center; inspect housing facilities for cleanliness - Supervise cleanliness of surgical machines, tools, and equipment - Train and supervise staff who handle and care for animals - Establish quarantine and testing procedures to prevent the spread of disease Compensation & benefits: - Starting salary QAR 5,000 / month (Basic 3,000 + Housing 1,000 + Transport 1,000) until Qatar veterinary license is acquired - QAR 50 per full blood test and QAR 50 per X-ray you perform - 20% of profit from emergency cases you attend, and 20% of Friday veterinary-service profit - 30 days paid annual leave, 14 days sick leave, Hamad Medical Corporation health card - Working schedule: full-time, approximately 48 hours/week - Probation: 3 months (must obtain a working Qatar veterinary license during probation)
Requirements
- Qualified Veterinarian (DVM or equivalent) - Eligible to obtain a working veterinary license in Qatar within the probation period - Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical skills - Comfortable operating ultrasound and radiography equipment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Calm under pressure and able to handle uncooperative animals and owners - Willing to work on-call for emergencies and contribute ideas to clinic development
