About the role
Royal Veterinary Center is hiring a Pet Groomer to provide professional grooming services in our clinic and on the road via our mobile grooming van. Key responsibilities: - Perform professional grooming for dogs and cats: bathing, brushing, trimming, styling, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and hygiene maintenance - Deliver grooming services in both clinic and mobile grooming unit settings - Travel to clients' locations in the mobile grooming van and set up equipment efficiently - Assess coat and skin condition before grooming; report concerns to pet owners - Handle pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments safely and gently - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, equipment, and the mobile unit - Operate and maintain mobile grooming equipment (bathing systems, dryers, generators, water systems) - Communicate clearly with owners about preferences, behavior, and aftercare - Upsell additional services where appropriate (de-shedding, flea treatment, packages) - Assist with reception, doctors, and pet-shop deliveries during quieter periods - Inspect grooming equipment in clinic and van; report issues to the manager Compensation & benefits: - Monthly salary QAR 3,000 (Basic 1,500 + Food 600 + Other 900) - Company-provided transportation and accommodation - Free basic monthly food (rice, oil, sugar, milk) - 2-year contract, vacation leave every 2 years, 2-way ticket every 2 years - Termination indemnity per Qatar Labour Law
Requirements
- Proven experience as a pet groomer for dogs and cats - Confident handling pets of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments - Experience with or willingness to work from a mobile grooming unit - Valid driving experience helpful for mobile route work - Strong customer-service and communication skills - Knowledge of grooming tools, hygiene, and animal welfare standards
